一、作品本身的文學價值　　荷馬的《奧德賽》、《伊利亞特》是用韻體寫成的著名兩大史詩。內容浩瀚博大，涵蓋西方整個古典神話體系，而其繁雜的動人故事，精心安排的史詩情節，則受到亞里斯多德的高度稱讚。自此希臘悲劇、文藝復興以後的歐洲文學皆深受其影響，可以說是西方文學活水源頭。二十世紀最偉大的作家喬伊斯，其鉅作《尤利西斯》即暗含與《奧德賽》十年漂泊事蹟並列的史詩結構，荷馬的深遠影響可見一斑。 二、故事大綱　　《伊利亞特》集中敘述特洛亞戰爭進行到第十年時的其中五十天所發生的事件。特洛伊王子帕里斯，拐走了希臘斯巴達王墨涅奧拉斯的美麗妻子海倫，而引發了特洛伊戰爭。《伊利亞特》是描述特洛伊戰爭的經典作品，其中包含了撼動人心的故事情節與人物。這部史詩鮮活地傳達人神爭鬥、慘烈戰事以及悲劇性的結局。這些豐富的內涵提供後人廣大的想像空間，「木馬屠城記」、「特洛伊女人」等，即是《伊利亞特》中的精彩片段，被改編成電影、舞台劇，及其他各式文體的作品，是人人耳熟能詳的故事。　　三、本書特點 1.獲頒大陸國家圖書獎，該獎係大陸圖書最高獎，以及全國優秀外國文學圖書第一等獎。 2.本書根據1974-75年古希臘文版譯出，是希臘原著最新全譯本。譯者並參考了大陸的三個早期譯本：三○年代的無韻詩與韻文英譯本以及六○年代譯自希臘文的散文中譯本。 3.本書譯者採用6音步新詩體譯出，與原詩儘可能對行，行文力求保持原詩樸實、流暢而又嚴謹的風格，書中並加上行碼，注釋詳盡。 4.附有古代地中海地區簡圖，與希臘文名詞索引。 5.成功大學歷史系副教授翁嘉聲專文導讀，中山大學外文系教授孫小玉專文推薦以及名作家羅智成的推薦。


作者簡介

希臘詩人。相傳是偉大史詩「伊利亞特」與「奧德賽」的作者。關於他的真實生平至今尚缺乏確實的暸解，一般學者認為，他可能是愛奧尼亞人，生於西元前8或9世紀。據說他是眼盲的吟遊詩人，以口述的方式（未真正寫下）建構出偉大的希臘史詩。

伊利亞特以及奧德賽這兩本書呢？因為讀書需要，必須要購買。

而市面上的書局都沒有販賣這兩本書，所以前來這邊詢問。
而有些書店是說貴社不再版這兩本書,這是真的嗎?
